A Component of the Washington Area Leading Index

The Help Wanted Advertising Index is a component of the Leading Index. It is a measure of the volume of employment recruitment advertisements appearing in the local newspapers. It is not an account of recruitment advertising lineage. Therefore, changes in the size of advertisements would not be reflected.

The data are adjusted for seasonal variation.  1987 = 100.0.
