Washington Area Domestic Airline Passenger Boardings

A Component of the Washington Area Coincident Index

Domestic passenger boardings include Reagan National Airport and Dulles International Airport and include the sum of enplaning and deplaning passengers for domestic airlines. International passengers are excluded. Decreased domestic passenger boardings historically are associated with an economic slowdown, due primarily to decreased tourism and business travel.

Data are adjusted for seasonal variation.
